Abstract
Moonshot
Moonshot is a single unifying technology that enables you to effectively manage access to a wide range of web and non-web services and applications. These include cloud infrastructures, high performance computing, grid computing and commonly deployed services such as email, file store, remote access and instant messaging. In this session Dr John Chapman will provide an overview of the technology created by Janet and developed further in collaboration with partners in GÉANT and industry to 'Federate Anything & Everything, Easily'. John will also describe the goals of the recently launched Janet pilot, which over the next 18 months is investigating a new trust infrastructure – Trust Router – as well as testing the operational infrastructure, support and training requirements for a large scale deployment across the Janet community.
